More Information... Contacting us for the first time
When you contact us for the first time, you will be asked a few simple questions so that we can establish what your requirements are. We'll also arrange a time to meet with you so that we can start to make the funeral arrangements.

Arranging the funeral
When arranging the funeral, we will guide you through all of the options, making sure that all of the personal touches you want are included.
We will take care of all of the arrangements, assisting you in completing all of the documentation and liaising with ministers, celebrants, crematoriums or cemeteries. Once you have made all of the decisions, we will confirm everything in writing with a detailed estimate of how much it will cost.

The funeral service
Based on the beliefs of your loved one, you may choose to have a religious or non-religious service. For whatever type of funeral you choose, we will arrange for a minister or celebrant to be there.

Burial or cremation?
You may choose a burial in a cemetery, churchyard or even a woodland burial ground. You may have an existing grave that you'd like to use or you may want to buy a new grave.
If you prefer a cremation, you can have a full service at the crematorium or just a short committal following a service at church or another location.

Coffins
There is a wide variety of coffins available, from traditional wooden coffins to more contemporary coffins such as wool or banana leaf. You can even have a picture coffin personalised to a specific theme or using a photograph you have provided.

Dressing the deceased
You may prefer your loved one to wear their own clothing that you supply to us or alternatively we can provide a gown that matches the interior of the chosen coffin.

Visiting the deceased
There is a private chapel of rest where you can spend some time with your loved one and if you like you can place photographs, letters and other items into the coffin with them.
We also offer a courtesy chauffeur service for visits to the chapel of rest if required.

Newspaper notices
We can place an announcement for you in local and national newspapers.

Flowers
We can order flowers on your behalf from simple coffin sprays to a more elaborate design that has a special meaning for you.
Following the funeral service you may what to remove the cards as a keepsake or even take the flowers to your home or to a family grave. The flowers can also be donated to a hospital, nursing home or hospice.

Donations
You may prefer that donations be made to a chosen charity in lieu of flowers. We will accept these donations and approximately a month following the funeral the donations will be forwarded to the chosen charity. We will send you a list of the donors and the total amount received.

Transport
There are various options of transport. Other than the standard motor hearse you can choose from various other alternatives such as a motorcycle, horse-drawn carriage, VW campervan or even a lorry hearse. The funeral cortège can drive past a favourite place of the deceased on the way to the service.
A limousine can also be provided to transport up to 7 passengers to and from the funeral.

Funeral stationery
We can provide an order of service, attendance cards and condolence books that can be personalised with a photo of your loved one.

Catering
You may want to offer refreshments after the funeral, either at home, a hotel, church hall, club or a pub. We can advise you on local venues and caterers.

Ashes
After cremation you can scatter the ashes at the crematorium or in another special place. You may even want to bury them in a cemetery or churchyard. There is also a wide variety of ashes caskets and scatter tubes available for you to choose from. Alternatively you can have a small amount of the ashes made into diamonds and incorporated into items of jewellery or they can even be put into fireworks and used for a personal display.

Memorial masonry
After a burial we can advise you about local rules and regulations and help you to create a memorial for your loved one which can be placed approximately six months after the burial.

Registering the death
Usually the person who registers the death will be a relative of the person who has died. If the deceased has no relatives then the death can be registered by anyone present at the death, someone who lives in the place where the death took place or the person who is taking responsibility for arranging the funeral.
The person registering the death will need to make an appointment to visit the local registrar. The registrar will need to know the date and place of death, full name, date and place of birth, occupation and home address, if the deceased was in receipt of a pension or allowance from public funds and, if applicable, the date of birth of the surviving spouse.
The registrar will need to see the medical certificate of cause of death and if available the deceased's National Healt
